How will I stay safe on campus?
Our approach as a University throughout the pandemic has been to put the health, safety and wellbeing of students and staff first. As the government has emphasised, we will continue to take a cautious approach for the time being to ensure a careful transition, particularly given the current high rates of local cases. All campus facilities have additional safety measures in place, designed in line with the latest guidance from Public Health England (PHE). These include:
- Operating to a reduced campus capacity
- 2m social distancing in all campus buildings
- Mandatory use of face coverings while inside campus buildings
- Sanitisation stations throughout the campus
- Enhanced cleaning regimes
These measures will remain under continual review, based on government guidance (should that change in the coming weeks and months) and the local situation.
