The School of Children, Young People and Families warmly invites you to join us for the second Champions of Childhood Conference. This in-person event for students, staff and employers will include a range of insightful speakers and there will be thought-provoking discussions and opportunities to network. Refreshments and food will be provided.
What's happening?
The day will feature a range of sessions from speakers across different organisations. Roger Slee, the keynote speaker, is the Diamond Jubilee Chair of Disability & Inclusion in the School of Sociology & Social Policy at the University of Leeds. He has held a Chair of Inclusive Education at the Institute of Education (UCL). Roger was Director of the Victoria Institute at Victoria University (Melb.), Dean of Education at McGill, University of Western Australia and Goldsmiths College. He was Deputy Director General of Education in Queensland Australia. He is the Founding Editor of the International Journal of Inclusive Education and the Journal of Disability Studies in Education. Roger was also Chair of the Board of Children and Young People with Disabilities Australia
