This workshop is designed to equip you with an essential understanding of media law, helping you and your business communicate with your audience safely and effectively. You will leave this session with an essential understanding of the safest and most memorable social media PR moments and how to tell stories on social media in an effective and legally sound style.

Meet your PR Expert: Leigh Purves

PR, journalist and broadcaster Leigh Purves has more than 24 years of experience, spanning across the media industry with a solid career in radio and television, presenting across mainstream commercial airwaves as well as the BBC. Leigh has also worked extensively in the print and digital world, working both as a high-profile columnist and news editor in addition to leading national PR and media campaigns for B&Q and Thomas Cook through to national coffee chains and independent hospitality brands.

As a member and ambassador for the Public Relations and Communications Agency (PRCA), Leigh regularly consults for various news brands and has a rota of clients she continues to advise on PR and media campaigns.

12.15 – 1.30 pm Workshop commences

1.30 – 2 pm Q&A session and finish

Where?

This session will be delivered remotely through Microsoft Teams.

Please note, you can only attend the workshop if you are a UK resident and live or work in the Leeds City Region, this includes Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Kirklees, Wakefield, York, Harrogate and Selby.
