Welcome Week
Together with Leeds Trinity Students’ Union, we're preparing a variety of activities to ensure you settle into university life and feel part of the Leeds Trinity family from the very beginning.
This year, Welcome Week will take place Monday 16 - Sunday 22 September. You'll be able to see the events we've planned once you've registered and signed into the myLTU app or on desktop at myLTU. You can also find out more by visiting www.ltsu.co.uk. Any mandatory sessions will be scheduled into your timetable on e:Vision.
Register with your local GP
We strongly urge you to register with a local GP, unless you wish to continue receiving support for an existing issue elsewhere.
If you’re going to be living on our Main Campus, the GP surgery we recommend using is the New Croft Surgery at Ireland Wood and Horsforth Medical Practice.
If you’re going to be living at Clarence Dock Village, the nearest GP surgery is Leeds Student Medical Practice on Blenheim Court.
If you would like to find another surgery, please see the gov.uk 'find a GP' service.
If you have any queries, please contact Student Support on studentsupport@leedstrinity.ac.uk or 0113 283 7196.
Student support and wellbeing
The Student Support team is available seven days a week until 5:00am each night. They can support you with a wide range of academic, personal or wellbeing issues while you're settling in.
Find out moreDigital Register
Once your classes start, a Digital Register is what you'll use to check in to your lectures and seminars at Leeds Trinity University. The digital register helps students to keep on top of their timetabled sessions and overall attendance and helps staff members to identify anyone who may need extra support.
To check in to, or mark yourself absent from, your scheduled classes, log in to myLTU and access the ‘Student Check-In’ tile. The app will also send reminders and notifications of any upcoming classes.
If check-ins are missed for a timetabled session, the student will be marked as absent, which allows our team of dedicated Student Liaison and Engagement Officers (SLEOs) to follow up on repeat absences and help with any worries, queries or issues you may be having. SLEOs are here to support you in engaging with your course.
The digital register is not designed to track and monitor students but to provide the best experience possible and make sure you get the most out of your timetabled sessions.
Sport and fitness
During your first weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to visit our on-campus gym, Trinity Fitness, and meet the many clubs and societies here at Leeds Trinity.
Whether you want to play sport socially, represent the University, or are just looking to get active, there’s something for everyone to get involved with.
