University shortlisted for industry award based on student feedback

Leeds Trinity University’s Accommodation team has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Booking Experience’ category at this year’s Global Student Living Awards.

The awards are based exclusively on direct feedback from tens of thousands of students about their student accommodation experience.

The ‘Best Booking Experience’ award reflects the experiences of students up to the point of moving into their current accommodation.  This includes the quality of information about the accommodation available before the booking is made, for example on the university website and booking portal.

The standard of communication about the booking up until students arrive is also a factor. Finally, as the awarding period coincided with the global pandemic, students were asked to rate the information provided about staying safe on their move-in date.

Damon Shaw, Head of Commercial Enterprises and Facilities at Leeds Trinity University said: “Being shortlisted for this award is of great credit to the Leeds Trinity Accommodation team who have worked tirelessly to provide the very best experience possible in difficult circumstances.

“Every student is treated as an individual from the point they select their own room on the booking portal, through to personalised replies to any queries or concerns they have about their accommodation, the moving in process or university life.”

Jac Davies, Accommodation Officer at Leeds Trinity said: "Our booking experience is a seamless process where the students are able to have flexibility on the building, flat and room they wish to stay in for the next academic year."

"With different options available, we cater for all students on campus, regardless of their level of study. By allowing students to independently complete their booking journey, they are able to find other students online and select their flatmates for the next academic year."

Leeds Trinity is a distinctively supportive University community where students are a name, not a number. Located in Horsforth, a popular suburb of Leeds close to the buzz of the city centre and the peace of the Yorkshire countryside, there is a ‘campus village’ feel with learning, sporting and social facilities all within minutes of the campus accommodation.

Students moving to campus can pick their own room from a range of accommodation options to fit their budget through a user-friendly booking portal and supported by a friendly, welcoming team.
