Working with young people in various settings

Representing the University and undertaking a diverse portfolio of tasks really helped to develop my confidence and self-esteem.

Why I chose Leeds Trinity

I chose Leeds Trinity because on my open day as soon as I walked through the door I was greeted and welcomed by student ambassadors. The whole day felt great and I knew then that it was the place for me. Also, I was accepted despite the lower than hoped for qualifications that I had.

My best student memories

The lectures were so approachable, and this really helped me to gain the best grade possible. if it wasn't for them, I might have dropped out or not completed my course, but with their continued support I went to complete a masters (Psychology Conversion) at Leeds Trinity in 2019.

During my time at Leeds Trinity I was also employed as a Student Ambassador. Representing the University and undertaking a diverse portfolio of tasks really helped to develop my confidence and self-esteem.

The skills I left Leeds Trinity with

The placements I undertook really reinforced what I wanted to do in my career.  They inspired me to work as much as I can with children and develop my skills and experience in this field.  My course gave me all the knowledge and structure I need to apply for jobs and perform my best in interviews.

My advice to other prospective students

Make sure that you do your research into all universities offering the course you are interested in and you don’t have to have traditional A levels to study at university.
