Before you step foot on either of our campuses at Leeds Trinity University, you can be sure you'll receive all the help and support you need. Below, you'll find a brief list of things you need to do before joining us.

Apply for student finance

You should apply for your tuition fee and/or maintenance loans as soon as possible to limit any delays.

If you’re a student from England you can apply online at gov.uk. The application process is different if you’re a student from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

If you need any assistance with your student finance or have any questions, please contact our Money Advice team at moneyadvice@leedstrinity.ac.uk or call 0113 283 7173.

Register your username and password

Use your Leeds Trinity username and password to log in at myltu.leedstrinity.ac.uk. Your username and password will be sent to you by the end of August via the contact email address you provided when you first applied to Leeds Trinity.

You’ll need to download the Microsoft Authenticator app (MFA) to your mobile device as part of this process. Your account will automatically lock after 14 days without MFA enabled. With Microsoft Authenticator, you’ll be able to reset your password and protect your account from hackers.

Register for your programme

Before you start your degree, you need to formally register as a student at Leeds Trinity University.

You can register online from Wednesday 14 August using e:Vision, which allows you to view and amend the personal details we hold about you and information about your programme, module registration, timetable and results.

Once you have received your Leeds Trinity username and password via email, log into your e:Vision account and follow the prompts to ‘Programme Registration.’ Your username and password will be sent to you by the end of August. Once you have successfully logged in, click on ‘Programme Registration’. The registration process will take approximately five to ten minutes to complete.

If you have issues accessing e:Vision, please log a ticket via the Self Service Portal - found in myLTU under IT Support. If you need help using e:Vision or any of its features, there are handy how-to guides within the platform that you can access.

Select your modules

Your undergraduate degree is made up of modules. A full-time undergraduate student is required to register for a total of 120 module credits per year, which is usually split between four modules of 30 credits each.

There are two types of modules:

  • Core – compulsory modules which you must take as part of your programme of study
  • Option – a module you can choose from a predefined list

For some programmes, all the modules you need to study are compulsory (core modules), so there are no module selections to make. For other programmes, there is an element of choice when it comes to the modules you will study – if this applies to your course, you will be required to select your module preferences via e:Vision once you’ve registered.

You must make your final selections by the start of October.

If you need any help choosing your modules, please contact the Student Records Team at records@leedstrinity.ac.uk or on 0113 283 7120.

Reading lists

Reading lists have not been set for the summer, however, if you would like to request a reading list or guidance on ways to prepare for your course, please contact hello@leedstrinity.ac.uk.

You can find preparatory material, including LTNew - a short online module designed to give you a head-start on key study skills, on the relevant subject page in your Applicant Hub.
